Please read these Terms & Conditions ("Terms") carefully before using Bookmatch (the "App").

By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

1. About Bookmatch

Bookmatch is an iOS application that helps users discover books through a swipe-based experience. Users can browse, save, and revisit books based on their preferences.

3. Book Recommendations

Book recommendations are generated using the Gemini API based on user interactions and preferences within the App.

We do not guarantee that recommendations will be accurate, complete, or suitable for your preferences. Recommendations are provided for informational purposes only.

4. Book Information and Third-Party Content

Book covers, descriptions, titles, author information, and related metadata are provided by third-party services, including the Google Books API.

Bookmatch does not claim ownership of third-party content and does not guarantee its accuracy, completeness, or availability. All third-party content remains the property of its respective owners.

5. Analytics and Usage Data

Bookmatch collects anonymous usage data to help improve app performance and user experience.

This data may include:

This data is collected in an anonymized form and is not used to personally identify users.

6. Subscriptions and Payments

Bookmatch may offer paid subscription plans that provide access to premium features ("Subscriptions").

Subscriptions are purchased through Apple's In-App Purchase system and are managed by Apple. Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.

Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current subscription period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.

You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID account settings on your device.

Bookmatch uses RevenueCat, a third-party service provider, to manage subscriptions, entitlement access, and purchase validation. RevenueCat does not process payments directly and does not have access to your payment information.

Prices, subscription terms, and billing periods are disclosed to you at the time of purchase and may vary by region.

Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription.

If you previously purchased a subscription, you may restore your purchase using the "Restore Purchases" option within the App or by reinstalling the App while signed in with the same Apple ID.

7. Availability

We strive to keep Bookmatch available and functioning smoothly, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the App at any time without notice.

8. Intellectual Property

All original content, features, design elements, and branding of the App are owned by Bookmatch and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal use only.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the App at any time if these Terms are violated or if misuse is detected.

10. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bookmatch shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of or inability to use the App, including reliance on book recommendations or third-party content.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When changes are made, the effective date at the top of this page will be updated. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the revised Terms.
